New Yorker Pita Sandwich

Recipe Ingredients

3/4 lb 340g / 11ozBoneless skinless chicken - breasts, cut into 1/
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozChopped onion
1/2 cup 118mlGreen bell pepper strips
1 tablespoon 15mlVegetable oil
1   Heinz vegetarian beans in - tomato sauce
2 tablespoons 30mlHeinz horseradish sauce
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlSalt
1   Black pepper
4   Pocket pita breads (5" dia.)
8   Tomato Leaf lettuce

Recipe Instructions

In skillet, saute chicken, onion and green pepper in oil until vegetables are tender-crisp and chicken is tender. Stir in beans, horseradish sauce, salt and pepper.

Simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors. Cut pitas in half and tuck 1 tomato slice and lettuce into each half. Fill each with about 1/3 cup bean mixture.

Makes 4 servings (about 3 cups mixture)
