1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Smoked beef sausage - or- turkey sausage |
3 cups | 480g / 16oz | Cooked rice |
16 oz | 454g | Red beans or pinto beans - - rinsed and drained |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Hickory-smoked BBQ sauce |
Brown sausage in large skillet over medium-high heat; drain and return sausage to skillet. Stir in rice, beans, and sauce. Cook until thoroughly heated, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Microwave Oven Instructions: Place sausage in microproof baking dish.
Cover with waxed paper; cook on HIGH 3 minutes. Add rice, beans and sauce. Cook on HIGH 4 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring after 2 minutes.
