Shrimp Casserole Charleston Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Mushrooms - sliced |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1 | Onion - minced | |
2 | Tomatoes - chopped | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Half and half |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sherry |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Shrimp - cooked and peeled |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Buttered bread crumbs |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Paprika or to taste |
Saute mushroom in butter. Add onion and tomatoes and simmer for ten minutes.
Blend Half and Half and flour and add along with sherry, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and paprika, to taste.
Add shrimp, cooked and peeled, and put in large buttered casserole.
Top with crumbs and bake at 350F until brown, about 20 minutes.
