Coffee Cordial Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Granulated sugar |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Brown sugar - (packed) |
2 cups | 474ml | Water |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Instant coffee granules or crystals |
2 cups | 474ml | Brandy |
2 cups | 474ml | Vodka |
1 | Vanilla bean |
In medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar and water. Bring to a boil; simmer uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in coffee until dissolved. Let cool.
Pour into 2-quart glass jar with lid. Add brandy, vodka and vanilla bean; blend well. Cover tightly with lid. Allow to stand at room temperature for 2 weeks, stirring occasionally. Pour into decorative bottles; cap tightly.
Yield: 7 cups
