Orange Parsnips Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Parsnips - peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Orange juice |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 | Pepper | |
Grated peel of 1 orange |
In saucepan combine parsnips, orange juice sugar, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes, or until tender.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with orange peel.
Microwave method: Combine all ingredients except orange peel in 1 1/2-quart glass casserole. Cover with waxed paper and cook on HIGH for 14 minutes, stirring 3 times. Sprinkle with peel.
