Mushrooms Stuffed With Hamburger

Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24ozVery lean ground beef
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlSalt - , or to taste
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGarlic - , minced
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlFreshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlDried thyme
1/4 cup 59mlWater
1/2 cup 118mlKetchup
24 cups 5688mlFresh mushrooms - , stems removed (large)
  Melted butter or margarine

Recipe Instructions

Combine the beef with the salt, garlic, pepper, thyme, water and ketchup. Season the mushrooms by dipping them in melted butter and sprinkling lightly with salt and pepper.

Place them open-side-up in a greased shallow pan. Stuff them generously with the ground beef mixture.

Broil for about 5 minutes (or to your taste). Serve hot. Can be topped with a dab of mustard or sour cream.
