Swiss Cheese Fondue

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozSwiss cheese - grated
1   Garlic - optional
2 cups 474mlDry white wine
2 tablespoons 30mlKirsch - rum or brandy, optional
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozParmesan cheese - grated (optional)
  Ground nutmeg or pepper - to taste
2 tablespoons 30mlFlour
  Bread - cooked meat, vegetables for dippers

Recipe Instructions

Coat Swiss cheese with flour.

Rub inside of fondue pot with garlic, pour in wine and heat until warm but not boiling. Add Swiss cheese by handfuls, stirring with wooden spoon until melted (appearance of light creamy sauce).

Add kirsch, Parmesan and nutmeg/pepper.

Let come to boil once, stirring continuously.

Serve with dippers.
