1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Cucumber - peeled and diced fine |
2 cups | 474ml | Sour cream |
1 | Garlic - minced fine | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Garlic salt |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chives - chopped or 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped or 1 |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dill - chopped. |
Wrap cucumber in several thicknesses of paper towels and press out all moisture. Combine cucumber with remaining ingredients and mix well. Transfer to serving bowl. Chill. Yield 2 cups.
I've made the first recipe and it tastes pretty close to what you get on a commercial gyro, here in California.
