Dry Jerk Seasoning

Recipe Ingredients

1 tablespoon 15mlOnion flakes
1 tablespoon 15mlOnion powder
2 teaspoons 10mlGround thyme
2 teaspoons 10mlSalt
1 teaspoon 5mlGround Jamaican allspice
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGround nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGround cinnamon
2 teaspoons 10mlSugar
1 teaspoon 5mlCoarse ground black pepper
1 teaspoon 5mlCayenne pepper
2 teaspoons 10mlDried chives or green onions

Recipe Instructions

Mix together all the ingredients. Store leftovers in a tightly closed glass jar. It will keep its pungency for over a month.

I use this spice combination constantly, and have found it enhances the flavor of salad or slaw dressings, as well as meat, fish, fowl, and just about anything else I eat.
