Butterscotch Pudding Mix Recipe - Cooking Index
Basic Mix | ||
2 cups | 474ml | Instant nonfat dry milk |
5 cups | 800g / 28oz | Brown sugar - firmly packed |
3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Cornstarch |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
To Use | ||
2 cups | 474ml | Milk |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Butter |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Basic mix |
Mix all the ingredients until they are well blended. Store mix in an airtight canister or tightly covered jar.
TO USE: Stir the mix in the canister before measuring out 1/2 c mix into a saucepan. Add 2 c milk and 4 tb butter and cook over low heat, stirring, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
Continue stirring for 1 minute, remove from heat, and pour into individual serving dishes. Pudding will thicken further as it cools
