Hazelnut Praline Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Roasted and chopped Oregon hazelnuts |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Butter or margarine |
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Firmly packed brown sugar |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Light corn syrup |
1 | Salt | |
1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Undiluted evaporated milk |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
Saute hazelnuts in butter over medium heat in saucepan 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove hazelnuts and reserve.
Add sugar, corn syrup and salt to butter in saucepan. Stir over low heat until mixture boils. Gradually add milk and bring to a full boil, stirring constantly. Stir in hazelnuts and vanilla. Serve warm.
