Rutabaga Pudding (Irish)

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozRutabagas
3 tablespoons 45mlFine breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons 45mlMilk
2 teaspoons 10mlMelted butter
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1 teaspoon 5mlSugar
1 teaspoon 5mlEgg - well beaten (large)

Recipe Instructions

Clean, peel and cube the rutabaga, and cook in boiling water until tender, then drain.

Mash thoroughly; then add all the other ingredients.

Put into a 2-qt casserole and bake at 350F for 1 hour. A pinch of cinnamon or ginger might be added.
