Rutabaga Pudding (Irish) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Rutabagas |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Fine breadcrumbs |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Milk |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Melted butter |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Egg - well beaten (large) |
Clean, peel and cube the rutabaga, and cook in boiling water until tender, then drain.
Mash thoroughly; then add all the other ingredients.
Put into a 2-qt casserole and bake at 350F for 1 hour. A pinch of cinnamon or ginger might be added.
