Weber Tangy Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
An excellent Kansas City-style sauce for consistently great tangy-sweet flavor every time. It's a long-time Weber favorite!
Courses: Sauces1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Chopped celery |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Chopped onion |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1 cup | 237ml | Catsup |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Lemon juice |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
1 | Freshly-ground black pepper |
In a skillet cook celery and onion in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Serve warm with grilled beef, pork, or chicken, or brush on meats during last 10 minutes of grilling time.
This recipe yields sauce for 8 to 10 servings.
