Monte Cristo French Toast Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
2 | Eggs - well beaten | |
8 | Raisin bread |
In bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk and eggs; beat well.
Cut each bread slice in thirds. Dip strips in batter and fry in 1/2-inch of oil in a large skillet, until golden on both sides. Remove, drain and place in shallow pan in heated oven until all are cooked.
Serve hot.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
