Recipe Ingredients

2 1/2 lbs 1135g / 40ozLean beef stew meat - cut in 1" cubes
1 lb 454g / 16ozOnion - chopped (large)
2   Garlic cloves - minced
3   Carrots - cut in 1" slices
2   Celery ribs - cut in 1/2" slices
2   Potatoes - cut in 1" cubes (medium)
16 oz 454gBeer
2 teaspoons 10mlSalt
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlFreshly-ground black pepper
1 teaspoon 5mlOregano
2 tablespoons 30mlTomato paste
3 tablespoons 45mlMelted butter
1/3 cup 20g / 0.7ozFlour

Recipe Instructions

Place all ingredients, except butter and flour in the crock pot; mix well. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.

Mix melted butter with flour; add to the stew. Taste and adjust seasonings. Turn to HIGH and cook until thickened, about 15 to 20 minutes.

This recipe yields 6 servings.
