French Onion Soup

Recipe Ingredients

4 cups 250g / 8.8ozOnions (large)
1/4 cup 49g / 1.7ozButter
1 tablespoon 15mlFlour
6 cups 375g / 13ozBeef consomme or bouillon
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlTabasco sauce - (to 1 tspn)
6   French bread - toasted
6 tablespoons 90mlShredded Mozzarella cheese

Recipe Instructions

Cook onions in butter until transparent. Add flour; mix well. Put in slow cooker. Add bouillon and Tabasco. Cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or HIGH 4 to 5 hours.

Laddle soup into oven-proof bowls. Top with bread and cheese. Broil until cheese melts.

This recipe yields 6 servings.
