Slow Cooked Swiss Steak Supper

Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24ozBeef boneless round steak - cut into 6
  Serving-size pieces
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlPepper-seasoned salt
6   New potatoes - (to 8) - cut into fourths
1 1/2 cups 165g / 5.8ozBaby-cut carrots
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion - sliced (medium)
1   Diced tomatoes with garlic, basil,
  And oregano - (14 1/2 oz), undrained
1   Home-style beef gravy - (12 oz)
  Chopped fresh parsley - if desired

Recipe Instructions

Spray 12-inch skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Sprinkle beef with seasoned salt. Cook in skillet 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until browned.

Layer potatoes, carrots, beef, and onion in 4- to 5-quart slow cooker. Mix tomatoes and gravy; spoon over mixture in slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW heat setting 7 to 8 hours or until beef and vegetables are tender. Sprinkle with parsley if desired.

This recipe yields 6 servings.
