Creamy Noodle Kugel Recipe - Cooking Index
This pudding, traditionally served on Jewish holidays, marvelously warms your insides.
Courses: Dessert1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Cooked egg noodles |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Low-fat cottage cheese |
3 | Egg substitutes | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Fresh orange juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
1 | Tart apple - unpeeled, diced | |
1 cup | 237ml | Boiling water |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Canned crushed pineapple in its own juice - drained |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients except the noodles and mix well. Add the noodles and pour the mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish.
Bake the casserole for 50 minutes until set. Cut into squares and serve.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1 cup.
