Recipe Ingredients

1 lb  Ground turkey
1 x  Kidney or pinto beans - (15 oz) - drained, rinsed
1 x  Low-fat low-sodium chicken broth
1 x  Diced tomatoes - (14 1/2 oz) - undrained (flavored with chilies, preferably)
1 x  Tomato paste - (6 oz)
1 tablespoon  Chili powder
1/8 teaspoon  Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon  Cumin
1/2 teaspoon  Freshly-ground black pepper

Recipe Instructions

In a large nonstick saucepan, brown the ground turkey until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.

Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: 1 cup.
