1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter |
1 | Cream of mushroom soup - (10 3/4 oz) | |
1 | Dry onion soup mix | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Uncooked rice |
2 cups | 474ml | Water |
Dredge rails in flour. Brown in a skillet in heated vegetable oil and butter.
In a 2-quart casserole dish, combine the remaining ingredients. Top with browned rails. Cover and bake 30 minutes in a pre-heated, 350 degree oven.
