Baked Limas In Chili Sauce

Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 cups  Dried lima beans
2 teaspoons  Salt
2 teaspoons  Sugar
1 cup  Chili sauce
2 tablespoons  Melted butter or fat
1   Bay leaf

Recipe Instructions

Soak the beans overnight in water to cover. Drain. Add fresh water to cover, and bring to a boil. Add the salt and sugar. Cook over low heat 1 1/2 hours. Drain.

Combine the beans, chili sauce, butter or fat and bay leaf in a baking dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven 1 hour. Remove bay leaf. Serves 6.
