| 4 tablespoons | Sugar | |
| 4 cups | Water | |
| 2 teaspoons | Celery seed | |
| 2 teaspoons | Paprika | |
| 4 teaspoons | Marjoram |
Bring to boil. Simmer, covered, 4 hrs. Uncover and simmer TWO DAYS, not a minute less.
