Noodles And Cabbage

Recipe Ingredients

1 tablespoon 15mlSalt
4 cups 948mlFinely shredded cabbage
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter or fat
1 teaspoon 5mlSugar
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlPepper
3 cups 711mlCooked broad noodles - drained

Recipe Instructions

Mix the salt and cabbage together and let stand 30 minutes. Squeeze out all the liquid.

Heat the butter or fat in a deep skillet. Add the cabbage, sugar and pepper. Cook over low heat 45 minutes or until cabbage is browned. Stir very frequently. Add the noodles and toss to blend thoroughly. Serves 6 to 8.
