Spaghetti Meat Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Onion - chopped (large) | |
1 | Garlic - minced | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Oil |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground beef |
2 1/2 cups | 156g / 5.5oz | Fresh chopped tomatoes |
6 oz | 170g | Tomato paste |
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper |
1 | Bay leaf |
Saute onion and garlic in the oil until soft. Add meat and cook until browned. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. Cool and place in divided ice cube trays. Freeze until solid. To use: Remove as many cubes as needed for meal and heat over low heat until warmed through. Serve over hot noodles or pasta.
