Abigail Van Buren's Pecan Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 cup | White corn syrup | |
| 1 cup | Brown sugar | |
| 1/3 teaspoon | Salt | |
| 1/3 cup | Butter or margarine - melted | |
| 1 teaspoon | Vanilla | |
| 3 | Eggs - slightly beaten | |
| 1 x | Pie shell | |
| 1 cup | Whole pecans - shelled |
Combine 1 c. white corn syrup, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/3 t. salt, 1/3 c. butter or margarine (melted), and 1 t. vanilla.
Mix well. Add 3 slightly beaten eggs. Pour into unbaked 9-in. pie shell.
Sprinkle 1 heaping cup shelled whole pecans over all.
Bake in preheated 350F oven for approximately 45 minutes.
