Sweet-And-Sour Green Beans

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 237mlBoiling water
2   Frozen green beans
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlPepper
1   Bay leaf
3   Cloves
2 tablespoons 30mlSugar
4 tablespoons 60mlVinegar
3 tablespoons 45mlButter or fat

Recipe Instructions

Combine the water, beans, salt, pepper, bay leaf and cloves in a saucepan. Cover and cook over low heat 3 minutes less than package directs. Drain and add the sugar, vinegar and butter or fat. Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove bay leaf. Serves 6.
