No-Salt Spaghetti Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 lbs | Onions - chopped (medium) | |
| 1 teaspoon | Olive oil or Pam - (or less) | |
| 2 x | Minced garlic | |
| 4 x | No-salt tomatoes | |
| 2 x | No-salt tom paste | |
| 1 cup | Red wine | |
| 1 cup | Water | |
| 2 teaspoons | Dried oregano leaves | |
| 1 teaspoon | Pepper | |
| 1 teaspoon | Sugar |
In a deep saucepan, cook onion in oil or PAM until soft.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
Taste after 1 1/2 hours and adjust seasoning.
Sauteed mushrooms are a great addition.
