Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 237mlJicama - peeled (medium)
2   Navel oranges - peeled
  Salt
1 teaspoon 5mlChile powder
2 tablespoons 30mlChopped unsalted peanuts - (optional)
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlDried red chiles - (optional)
  Lettuce

Recipe Instructions

Cut jicama into bite-sized pieces and place in large bowl. Section oranges and cut into bite-sized pieces, holding sections over bowl so juice will fall into it. Season to taste with salt. Add chile powder, peanuts and crushed chiles. Mix well, chill and serve on lettuce. Makes 6 to 8 servings
