Scottish Oat Scones (1.5 PTS) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | Flour |
1 1/4 cups | 78g / 2.8oz | Oats |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cream of tartar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | Butter or margarine - melted |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Milk |
1 | Egg | |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins |
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease cookie sheet.
Combine flour, oats, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt. Add butter,
milk and egg to dry ingredients. Mix just until moistened. Stir in
raisins.
Spoon and flatten on prepared sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minute, or until
golden brown. Serve warm with butter, preserves or honey, if desired.
Makes 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 dozen.
