Quick Shrimp Etouffee Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Shrimp - cleaned-deveined |
1 | Tomatoes | |
4 | Garlic - minced | |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Butter or oleo |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Finely chopped parsley |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | All-purpose flour |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Blend tomatoes including liquid until fine.
In skillet, make roux of flour and butter. Add garlic and continue browning until tender. Add tomatoes, shrimp, salt and pepper.
Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes Add chopped parsley before removing from heat.
Serve over hot fluffy rice.
