Recipe Ingredients

3 oz 85gMargarine
4 oz 113gOnions
3 oz 85gSugar
2 oz 56gLemon juice or cider vinegar
1   Red wine
  Salt to taste
  Pepper to taste
4 lbs 1816g / 64ozRed cabbage; peeled - cored, shredded
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozApples; peeled - cored, and d
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlPowdered cloves
1   Cinnamon

Recipe Instructions

Saute onions in margarine. Add sugar and brown lightly. Add lemon juice or vinegar to deglaze. Add cabbage, apples, wine, and seasonings. Mix well. Cover and simmer until cabbage is cooked, but still has crispness. Remove cinnamon.
