Kahlua-Glazed Bananas

Recipe Ingredients

4 cups 948mlFirm ripe bananas - peeled (small)
  (1-1/4 pounds)
1 cup 237mlWater
1 tablespoon 15mlInstant coffee granules
1/3 cup 53g / 1.9ozFirmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons 45mlReduced-calorie stick margarine
1/4 cup 59mlKahlua or other coffee-flavored liqueur
1 1/3 cups 315mlVanilla nonfat frozen yogurt

Recipe Instructions

Cut each banana in half crosswise, and cut each piece in half lengthwise. Set banana pieces aside.

Bring water to a boil in a large nonstick skillet. Add the coffee granules, brown sugar, and margarine; reduce heat to medium, and cook until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently. Add banana pieces; cook 5 minutes, turning occasionally.

Remove from heat, and stir in Kahlua.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 4 banana pieces, 2-1/2 tablespoons sauce, and 1/3 cup frozen yogurt).
