Pineapple Carob Cashew Brownies

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups 125g / 4.4ozWhole wheat pastry flour
2/3 cup 157mlCarob powder
2 teaspoons 10mlBaking powder
1   Salt
1/2 cup 118mlHoney or apple juice
1/2 cup 118mlUnsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup 59mlCanned pineapple pieces - - (unsweetened)
1 teaspoon 5mlVanilla extract
1/2 cup 118mlRaw cashew pieces

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large mixing bowl combine flour, carob, baking powder and salt.

Blend honey, applesauce, juices, pineapple and vanilla.

Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir in nuts. Pour batter into an oiled 9" x 13" pan. Bake 1 hour or until brownies pull away from sides of pan.
