3 cups | 711ml | Heavy cream - (1 1/2 pints) |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Honey |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground nutmeg |
1 | Loaf French Bread | |
Maple syrup - for accompaniment |
Beat eggs, cream, honey and nutmeg together.
Slice bread into 10 slices. Dip into egg mixture and arrange in greased 13- by 9- by 2-inch baking pan. Pour remaining egg mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight-turning slices once.
Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve with warm maple syrup.
