Cabbage Casserole

1 lb 454g / 16ozLean ground beef
1 lb 454g / 16ozOnion - chopped (medium)
1 lb 454g / 16ozGreen cabbage head - shredded (medium)
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozUncooked rice
8 oz 227gTomato sauce
1 cup 237mlWater

Recipe Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium skillet, brown the ground beef and onion. Drain the beef mixture and transfer it to a baking dish.

Spread the shredded cabbage evenly over the beef. Sprinkle the rice over the mixture and add the tomato sauce and water. Bake for 50 minutes or until the rice is tender.

This recipe yields 8 servings. Serving size: 1 cup.
