Marinated Beef Kabobs Recipe - Cooking Index
The marinade for this dish is tasty and easy to prepare. Try it with chicken too.
Type: Meat1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Lean sirloin steak - cut 1 1/2" cubes |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Red onion - cut 1" cubes (large) |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Green and red bell peppers - cut 1" squares (large) |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Mushrooms - stems removed |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Low-calorie Italian salad dressing |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Burgundy wine |
Place cubed meat and prepared vegetables together in a shallow dish.
In a small bowl, combine the salad dressing and the wine; blend well. Pour the marinade over the meat and vegetables. Cover, refrigerate, and let marinate for at least 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
Alternate the meat and vegetables on 6 skewers. Grill kababs over medium heat, turning often, for 15 to 20 minutes or until desired degree of doneness. Arrange on a platter and serve.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1 kabob.
