Roughed-Up Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe - Cooking Index
This recipe produces a very crisp cookie.

3/4 cup | 177ml | Unprocessed uncooked wheat bran |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Butter |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar |
2 | Eggs | |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped walnuts |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Semisweet chocolate morsels |
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, combine the flour, bran, and baking soda. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the large bowl, mixing well. Stir in the nuts and chocolate. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
This recipe yields 48 servings. Serving size: 1 cookie.
