Mushroom Pilaf

Many mushroom varieties can go into this dish.

Recipe Ingredients

2 tablespoons 30mlButter
1 tablespoon 15mlOnion - diced very fine (medium)
2 cups 320g / 11ozLong-grain white rice
1/4 lb 113g / 4ozMushrooms - sliced
3 1/2 cups 829mlBeef broth

Recipe Instructions

Melt the butter in a large saute pan or skillet. Add the onion and rice, stirring until golden brown in color. Stir in the mushrooms, and then the beef broth. Cover.

Bring to a boil and lower the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 20 minutes or until all the broth is absorbed.

This recipe yields 6 side dish servings.
