Basic Gravy

Recipe Ingredients

1   Tomato
1   Onion
3 x  Garlic - (3 to 4)
1 x  Ginger
4   Dry red chillies - (deseeded)
1/2 cup  Curds
6   Cashews broken - (6 to 7)
1 tablespoon  Oil
1/2 teaspoon  Red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon  Dhania powder
1/4 teaspoon  Turmeric powder
3 x  Asafoetida - (3 to 4)
1/4 teaspoon  Garam masala
3 x  Cinnamon-clove powder - (3 to 4)
  Salt to taste

Recipe Instructions

Grind all ingredients together except oil (use mixer if hand grinder not

available).

Heat oil, add paste, stir fry till oil separates.

Add 1 cup water, bring to boil, simmer till thick.
