Hari Peleey Moti (Green Chile Dal)

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup  Chana dal *
2 tablespoons  Grated coconut
2 tablespoons  Chopped coriander leaves
3   Green chiles - slit
1 x  Hing (asafetida)
1/2 teaspoon  Rai (mustard seed)
3/4 teaspoon  Jeera (cumin)
2 tablespoons  Oil
  Salt - to taste

Recipe Instructions

* boiled so that the dal is separate

Heat oil, add rai and when it splutters add hing, jeera and slit green chiles. Fry for 2 minutes, then add chana dal, salt and peas. Stir. Cook for 5 minutes.

While serving, garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
