Shakarkandhi Ke Seekh (Sweet Potato Kabobs)

Recipe Ingredients

500   Sweet potatoes - boiled and grated
60   Mawa * - crumbled
80   Paneer - grated
25   Ginger - julienne
30   Mint leaves - chopped
10   Grated nutmeg
50   Broken cashew nuts - fried
125   Roasted gram flour - (besan)
10   White pepper powder
  Salt - to taste
  For The Garnish
1 teaspoon 5mlChaat masala powder
  Lime juice - as needed

Recipe Instructions

"SHAKARKANDHI KE SEEKH (Sweet potato kabobs served with mint chuntey)"

*(also known as khoa or khoya) is milk cooked down until fudge-like

MIX sweet potatoes, mawa, paneer, ginger, mint leaves, cashew nuts, nutmeg and the seasoning. Add gram flour and bind to a dough. Take small portions of the dough and put on skewers as for seekh kabobs. Cook in medium hot tandoor until done. Sprinkle chaat masala and lime juice on top. Serve with mint chutney.
