Old Farts Baked Beans Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Pinto beans - drained | |
1 | Black beans - reserve 4 oz. Liquid | |
1 | Onion - minced fine (large) | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Barbecue sauce |
Cooking oil spray - as needed | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cracked black pepper |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Ground ancho pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cumin powder |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Hot sauce |
1 | Kosher salt |
Prepare grill for direct cooking method. Or use your smoker if doing something else in it at the same time.
In a small bowl combine beans, reserved liquid, onion, barbecue sauce, hot sauce and spices.
Spray a shallow two quart disposable aluminum pan with cooking oil spray. Pour bean mixture into the aluminum pan and place onto grill rack.
Cover. Cook for 1 hour, stir beans every 15 minutes.
