Thai Beef With Noodles Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Boneless beef top sirloin |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Reduced sodium soy sauce |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Dry sherry |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Grated fresh ginger - minced garlic and |
Dark roasted - sesame oil | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | To 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper - pods |
2 cups | 474ml | Cooked ramen noodles or - linguine |
1/4 cup | 4g / 0.1oz | Chopped green onion tops or - fresh cilantro |
Combine sherry, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil and pepper pods. Place beef steak in plastic bag; add marinade. Close bag securely and marinate 15 minutes. Pour off marinade; reserve.
Heat non stick skillet over medium heat 5 minutes. Add steak and cook 12 to 15 minutes for rare (140 F) to medium (160), tuning once. Remove steak; keep warm.
Dissolve 2 tsp cornstarch in reserved marinade and 1/4 cup water; add to skillet. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Stir in noodles. Carve steak into thin slices and serve over noodles. Sprinkle with green onion.
