1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Margarine |
1/3 cup | 53g / 1.9oz | Brown sugar - packed |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Unbleached all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Walnuts - chopped |
8 oz | 227g | Cream cheese - softened |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Egg (large) |
3/4 cup | 177ml | -- ¥ |
1 | & M candies |
NOTE: You can use any type of milk chocolate candies in place of the M & Ms.
Beat margarine and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour and walnuts, mix well. Reserve 1/2 cup crumb mixture; press remaining crumb mixture into bottom of 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 350F 10 minutes
Combine cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add egg, mix well.
Layer 1/2 cup candy over crust; top with cream cheese mixture.
Combine remaining candy, chopped, and reserved crumb mixture; mix well.
Sprinkle crumb mixture over cream cheese mixture.
Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
Cool and cut in to 16 equal squares.
