Recipe Ingredients

2 1/4 cups 445g / 15ozSugar
1 cup 198g / 7ozButter
4   Eggs
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozFlour
1 3/4 cups 192g / 6.8ozCocoa
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
1 teaspoon 5mlBaking powder
2 teaspoons 10mlVanilla
  Filling
1   Marshmallow fluff
  Frosting
6 tablespoons 90mlButter - softened
3 tablespoons 45mlMilk
2 tablespoons 30mlCocoa
1 2/3 cups 329g / 11ozPowdered sugar

Recipe Instructions

Blend sugar, butter, eggs, flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and vanilla. Pour into oiled 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 325F for 30 minutes.

Cover top of cake with marshmallow fluff, and bake for 10 more minutes. Allow cake to cool. To make the frosting, mix soft butter with milk.

Add cocoa and powdered sugar; beat until smooth. Frost cooled cake. Cut into squares.

Makes 24 mudpies
