Curried Turkey Spaghetti ( 7 points)

1/2 lb 227g / 8ozGround turkey
  OR
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozLean ground beef
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozChopped onion (about 1 medium)
1   Garlic - finely chopped
3/4 cup 109g / 3.8ozChopped unpeeled tart eating apple (about
1   Medium)
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozChopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlCurry powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGround cumin
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlGround red pepper (cayenne)
1/4 cup 59mlUnsweetened apple juice
16 oz 454gWhole tomatoes - undrained
6 oz 170gUncooked spaghetti
2 tablespoons 30mlChopped dry-roasted peanuts

Recipe Instructions

Cook ground turkey, onion and garlic in 10-inch nonstick skillet over

medium

heat, stirring frequently, until turkey is no longer pink; drain. Stir in

remaining ingredients except spaghetti and peanuts; break up tomatoes.

Heat

to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered about 5 minutes or until apple

is

tender, stirring occasionally. Cook spaghetti as directed on package;

drain.

Serve sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle with peanuts.
