Caribou Meat Balls Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground caribou |
| 1/4 lb | 113g / 4oz | Ground pork |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Quick oatmeal - red river |
| Bread or - cracker crumbs | ||
| 1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - finely chopped |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic powder |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Prepared mustard |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Catsup or |
| 1 | Egg and | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Tomato paste |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Hot pepper sauce |
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl; shape the mixture into small balls, using a teaspoon of meat mixture for each.
Cook in a skillet over medium heat in a little hot fat. Turn frequently until brown on all sides, 5 to 7 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen miniature meat balls.
Serve with your favorite barbecue sauce and slices of un buttered French bread.
