Recipe Ingredients

1/2 lb 227g / 8ozGround lean pork
1/2 cup 46g / 1.6ozMinced cooked cabbage
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozMinced onion
6   Garlic - minced
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlFinely grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon 5mlCrushed dried hot chiles - or more to taste
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlFive-spice powder
1 tablespoon 15mlBrown sugar - or more to taste
1 tablespoon 15mlCornstarch
1   Egg
2 tablespoons 30mlSoy sauce
4   Green onions and tops - minced fine
1/4 cup 23g / 0.8ozMinced fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCoarsely ground black pepper - or more to taste
  Oil for frying

Recipe Instructions

In a large bowl mix together thoroughly all ingredients except oil. Make a small a patty and fry in a bit of oil to test for seasonings. Add more chiles, pepper, or sugar to taste and test again.
