| 12 | Green bell peppers | |
| 1 | Hot pepper | |
| 9 | Onions (medium) | |
| 1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
| 2 cups | 474ml | Vinegar |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salt |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Pickling spice |
Chop peppers and onions; cover with boiling water. Let stand 5 minutes; drain.
Cover again with boiling water; let stand 10 minutes and drain. Add other ingredients; cool for 15 minutes.
Pack in sterile jars and seal.
