| 1 cup | 237ml | Cider vinegar |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
| 2/3 cup | 41g / 1.4oz | Onion - minced |
| 1 | Garlic | |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Pepper |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Red pepper flakes |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
| 1 | Bay leaf | |
| 2/3 teaspoon | 3.3ml | Thyme |
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Peanut oil |
| 3 teaspoons | 15ml | Dry mustard |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cold water |
1. Boil all but last two ingredients for five minutes. Dissolve mustard in water and add.
